How to set up the app and use every page. Each guide is kept up to date as the app changes.
After that, open any page and press Guide at the top to read about the page you are on.
The latest changes to the app.
Questions from every guide. Type a word to filter them, or click one to open it.
No. EVE does not allow apps to start or deliver industry jobs through ESI. You do that in the game client; the app sees the change within 5 to 10 minutes.
Jobs are read every 5 to 10 minutes. Wait a few minutes, or press Run jobs sync now on Pipeline or Slots. If it still does not appear:
They started before Post jobs started after (Settings → General). That is on purpose: the app has no record of the stock they used, so it leaves them out instead of blocking them. Hover the chip to see the reason. Move the date earlier only if your opening balances were taken earlier too.
Finish its steps: it disappears once all five are ticked. If Backend configured for EVE SSO is not ticked, only your admin can fix it.
EVE time (UTC), like the game. Turn on Local time in tooltips in Settings → Display to see your own time when you hover a timestamp.
The page stopped receiving live updates, for example after a network blip. It reconnects on its own (every 30 seconds once offline). Until then, refresh the page to see new data. Your records are not affected.
Still stuck? Ask your admin.
A sync failed, a character needs re-authorising, or EVE asked the app to pause for a while. Hover the dot for the reason and click it to open Sync and ESI. A pause ends by itself. See Sync and ESI.
Those are single-key shortcuts (g then a letter, n for Record). Turn them off with Single-key shortcuts in Settings → Display. ⌘K keeps working.
The app has fewer units of that item recorded on that character (and at that location, for compression, refines and hauls) than you are taking out. Record where the units came from first: an opening balance, a purchase, mined ore or a haul to the right place. Stock → Reconciliation shows how far the records are from the game.
You left the price empty and the market has no price for that item at that time, so the app cannot guess the cost. Enter the price you paid (Unit price (ISK)), or for an adjustment the Unit cash cost for additions.
No. The wallet sync records market buys and sales of tracked items every hour. Recording them as well counts them twice. Use Purchase and Sale only for deals EVE does not report.
Not usually. Ore your added characters mine comes in from the mining ledger every hour. Record it by hand only when the ledger does not have it.
Records cannot be edited or deleted. Use Record→Stock adjustment to reverse it (a negative quantity removes units you added by mistake; a positive one puts back units you removed), with a reason, then record it again correctly.
If you used a contract, review it in the Inbox as a transfer (see Contracts). Otherwise record a Haul or transfer with a different To character.
Market buys are recorded where you bought them, and a refine only uses ore at the refining facility (or with no location). Record a Haul or transfer with To location set to the facility first.
Ore is refined in portions (usually 100 units). Less than one portion refines nothing, so the app refuses it.
The item cannot be compressed, or the app's static data does not know its compressed form yet. Check you picked the ore, ice or gas itself. If it is a new item, ask an admin to import the latest static data.
You made money because your inputs were cheap (contracts, your own mining), but selling those inputs on the market would have earned more than reacting them. Consider whether the reaction is worth the slot.
The character that started the job has fewer units of that input in its lots than the job needs. Record where they came from (opening balance, purchase, refine, haul from an alt), then Retry posting. If the shortfall looks wrong, check the facility's rigs. See Blocked jobs.
Its inputs have not been posted yet: it is Pending, Blocked or Ignored. Costs appear once it is Posted.
The product is added at the next jobs sync after delivery (5 to 10 minutes), and only if the job's inputs were posted. A blocked or ignored job adds nothing: unblock it, or for jobs from before you started, record the product as an opening balance.
That is intended. Each lot keeps the cost it was recorded with; costing changes apply to what you record from then on.
The Stock page uses the market and price picked on that page, with no fallback market. The Dashboard uses your valuation settings in Settings → Costing. Pick the same market and price on Stock to compare.
Install costs, an estimated sales tax on market sales, refining tax and fees, freight and PI export tax are included. Broker fees and structure fuel are not. See What is and is not counted.
Mined ore costs your mined ore rate, which is 0 by default. Set a rate per m³ in Settings → Mined ore if you want mining to carry a cost. It applies to ore mined from then on.
Stock you produced yourself: mined ore, your PI, and anything made only from such stock. It is used before bought stock, and the Self column on Stock → Lots marks it.
Margins count only delivered jobs. A job whose timer has ended is Ready to deliver until you deliver it in game; then the next jobs sync (every 5 to 10 minutes) posts its output and it appears here. See Slots for jobs waiting to be delivered.
True margin values the inputs at what they were worth on the market when the job used them; cash margin at what you actually paid. If you bought cheap on contracts or mined the ore yourself, cash margin is higher, and the difference is shown as sourcing captured. See How costs and profit work.
The app had no market price for those products at the moment you delivered them, so it cannot value the output. Make sure the product is tracked at your valuation market (open the item on Stock and switch on Track price hourly), so future deliveries are priced.
Three reasons. The Dashboard values your recorded lots, while Holdings on the Stock page uses the quantities EVE reports. The Dashboard always uses the valuation market and price from Settings→Costing, while the Stock page uses whatever market and price you pick there. And the Dashboard card always covers all characters. Use Reconciliation if the quantities disagree.
The chart is drawn from the daily snapshot, taken after EVE's downtime (from 11:30 EVE time). Take one now from Stock → Snapshot with Take snapshot now.
That figure could not be loaded; the text after the colon says why. The other cards still work. Reload the page; if it persists, check Sync or tell an admin.
Finish all five steps. The card disappears on its own once every step is ticked; there is no button to hide it.
The app reads jobs every 5 to 10 minutes. Wait a few minutes or press Run jobs sync now. If it still does not appear, check for a Jobs for … are not syncing warning at the top (re-authorise the character) and check Sync.
That is how EVE works: a job stays in its slot until you deliver it in game. Deliver it, and the next jobs sync moves it out of the list and posts its output to stock.
The job has not been posted yet: its inputs have not been taken from your stock. It is posted at the next jobs sync. Use Retry posting to do it now.
Your records hold less of that input than the job used, usually because a purchase, refine or haul was not recorded. Press Fix and record it from the Inbox; posting is retried as soon as you save. The job keeps running in game meanwhile. See Fixing a blocked job.
The job runs in a structure you have not registered, so the app cannot cost it. Press Fix, then Register facility (the structure id is filled in); posting is retried when you save. See the Facilities guide.
The job is deliberately not taken from stock: it started before Settings→General→Post jobs started after, was cancelled before it was posted, or is not a reaction or manufacturing job. Hover the chip for the reason. Nothing to do.
The job's reaction group is switched off in Settings→Reaction groups, so you cannot plan that product. The job is still tracked and costed normally.
Its inputs have not been posted yet (posting is Pending or Blocked). Once posting succeeds the costs fill in.
The graph uses the app's own records (your lots), not what EVE reports. If they disagree, use Reconciliation to find and record the difference.
A slot frees only when you deliver the job in game. Until then it is Ready (amber) and still holds the slot. Deliver it, and the box turns free at the next jobs sync.
Ticks are reminders kept only in that browser tab; a new tab or another device starts with none. A row leaves the list for good only when the jobs sync sees the delivery in game. If you did deliver, press Run jobs sync now.
It has more jobs than its skills give slots, usually because skills changed or have not synced yet. It corrects itself after the daily skills sync.
1 + Mass Reactions level + Advanced Mass Reactions level. Hover the R chip on its row to see the sum. If it looks wrong, check the character's skills on Characters; skills sync once a day.
The character can start reactions in structures up to that many jumps away (5 jumps per level of Remote Reactions). 0j means it must be docked in the structure.
Posting is blocked for that job: the app could not take its inputs from your stock. The job runs fine in game. Click the box and press Open inbox → to fix it; see Fixing a blocked job.
Manufacturing uses separate slots from reactions, so those jobs are listed in the Manufacturing (fuel blocks) table below the reaction slots.
There is at least one open Shortage or Re-auth item. Both stop the app from costing jobs. Click Shortage or Re-auth on the left and fix them first.
Set Settings→General→Post jobs started after to the day you started using the app. Then click Contract on the left, select the old ones with Select and press Dismiss selected. This cannot be undone, so leave any recent contract you still need to review.
Press Undo in the message within 5 seconds. After that, or after a bulk dismiss, it cannot be reopened. Fix the cause directly instead: review the contract on Contracts, retry the job on its page, or record the stock from the Record menu.
Your records still hold less than the job used. Record the missing quantity with Record purchase, Create refine batch or Adjust stock on the same item; posting is retried when you save.
Either. Both open the EVE login. Once you log in with that character the Re-auth item resolves itself. See the Characters guide.
Mark resolved means you dealt with it; if the same problem comes back, the item reopens. Dismiss means it does not matter; it never comes back. Both leave the list.
Some items close at the next sync, when the app sees the fix (blocked jobs are retried at every jobs sync, every 5 to 10 minutes). For a job item press Retry posting to check now; for others press Mark resolved.
You have no active facility with a reactor service. Add your refinery on Facilities and tick its reactor services under Services online, then come back.
Its reaction group is switched off. The list then says No plannable recipe matches. Disabled reaction groups are hidden. Switch the group on in Settings → Reaction groups.
The character in Skills from cannot run one of the formulas in the plan. Pick a character marked with a high enough level, or Auto (highest Reactions level). If no character has the skill, you cannot save or schedule the plan.
Hover the button to see why. Plan something first: press Plan. Fix the warnings first: the plan has a blocking warning (red); open the warnings bar to see which.
Reaction install costs are worked out by the app and not yet checked against a real job. The real cost arrives from ESI when the job starts and is used on the job's page and in profit.
Set your usual login time in Settings → Display → Next login (EVE time). Then press Fit to… next to Amount, choose Next login (or Next downtime, a custom time or a number of hours) and press Use N runs.
Use stock only reduces what you buy. To use an intermediate you hold, plan less of the product, or plan the remaining steps separately.
Critical path is the time if every job had a free slot the moment it could start. Serial time is every job one after another in one slot. Your real finish is in between, and the Schedule tab works it out for your actual slots.
No. EVE does not let apps start jobs. You install them in game following the checklist; a saved plan then notices them through ESI within 5 to 10 minutes.
Wait up to 10 minutes for the job sync. If it is still Planned, check the Inbox for an item saying the job may belong to a saved plan (usually because the runs or character differ from the plan) and press Link plan job. Or press Link job on the line and enter the job id.
The app will not link it by itself; it asks in the Inbox. Link it there. To keep things automatic, install exactly the runs on the checklist line, with the character it names.
A line turns Delivered when the app records the job's output. Wait for the next job sync. If the job is blocked (its inputs were not found in your records), fix it from the Inbox; see Blocked jobs.
Once a job of the plan has started or been delivered, the plan is part of your history and can only be archived. The message reads Plan … has N started or delivered jobs; archive it instead.
Skip drops one job from a plan you are still running. Archive puts the whole plan away: it stops matching jobs and leaves Slots.
Press Re-schedule on the plan's page. It schedules the jobs still Planned from now, on your slots as they are, and updates the checklist order and Slots.
Make sure the purchase is recorded (market buys arrive by themselves), then press Re-plan. The new version shows what changed in the shortfall.
The plan has a blocking warning (Reactions level too low, facility cannot run the formula, reaction group off, or a cycle). The message lists them. Fix the cause in Settings, Facilities or Characters, then save or re-plan again.
Open Refining → Compare, pick the ore, quantity and facility, and press Compare. The card marked Best leaves you the most after tax and fee. Then press Record with this refiner.
On Refining → Batches, press Record return on the batch under Ore at refiners and enter what you actually received. Or review the return contract with the direction Refine return.
Ore is refined in portions of 100 units. Less than one portion stays as ore; the form refuses it with quantity must cover at least one portion of 100.
The app has fewer units of that ore on record for the owner at that facility. Record how you got it (purchase or mined ore), or record the haul to the refining facility, then try again. See Recording what ESI cannot see.
An own-character refiner uses the skills and implant ESI reports, so they are always current. If they look wrong, check the character's last skills sync on Sync. Use Yield override only if you know the exact yield.
Check the facility's structure type and reprocessing rigs on Facilities, and for a contracted refiner the skill levels and implant. Press Check yield on the refiner to see each line. If you know the exact figure, set a Yield override.
The batch came back with different quantities from those expected. The materials are recorded as you entered them. Press View batch to see which differ, then Mark resolved once you have checked.
No, because past batches refer to it. Press Deactivate: it stays in history but is no longer offered. Reactivate brings it back.
In the refine form, percentage fees are entered as a fraction: type 0.03 for 3%. (On the Refiners tab the default rate is entered as a percentage.)
Holdings shows what EVE says you hold; Lots shows what the app has recorded. When they differ, the vs ledger column shows by how much. Usually a purchase, refine, haul, sale or loss was not recorded. Open Reconciliation to record it.
EVE refreshes asset data about once an hour. The line under the totals shows when the last update was. Check again after the next one.
The app only has a cost for some of the units you hold. Book value and unrealised gain cover those units only; the rest still count in market value. Record where the other units came from (Reconciliation helps) to give them a cost.
Check which market and price are selected above the totals. A small structure market can have very different prices from Jita. Switch to a large shared market, or pick Buy, Sell or Split to match how you sell.
The chosen market has no price for them, so they are left out of the totals. Try another market, or open the item and switch on Track price hourly.
No. The choice on the Stock page only affects that page. Reports and the Dashboard use the valuation market and price from Settings→Costing.
Ask an admin: they can share any NPC station market with every account. For a player structure, add it yourself under Settings → Markets and prices.
EVE says a contract happened, not what it was for. Reviewing tells the app whether it was a purchase, a sale, a transfer between your characters, a refine contract or nothing, and what each item cost. Nothing changes in your stock until you press Post contract.
In the review choose Allocation → Custom prices and type your price per unit. That sets what the stock cost you; its market value stays the market price, and the difference shows as contract discount on Profit. Check that Difference to price shows 0.
You are posting a sale (or a swap) of items the app has no lots for, usually because they were bought or made before you started tracking. Press Adjust stock in the message to add the missing units with a cost, then post again. If the contract is from before you started, dismiss it instead (see old contracts).
The app has the contract but not its item list yet. Items arrive with the next contracts sync (hourly). Check Sync and ESI, or run a contracts sync there.
Purchases, sales, transfers and refine returns can only be posted once EVE reports the contract as finished, because before that nothing has moved. Wait until the contract is accepted and completed.
A transfer is only between two characters added to your account. If the other side is someone else (or a corporation), it is a purchase or a sale. If it is your alt, add that character on Characters first.
Contracts guessed as Ignored do not show a Review contract button. Record the stock by hand instead: Record→Purchase (or Sale) with the contract's items, quantities and prices. See Recording a purchase.
In the Inbox, pick the Contract kind, select the ones from before you started and press Dismiss selected. Dismissed contracts stay unreviewed and post nothing. Bulk dismiss cannot be undone.
No: direction and prices are final once posted. Correct the stock with a Record→Stock adjustment. See fixing a mistake.
Record a haul when the move cost you something (so the cost reaches your margins) or when the app needs to know where stock is. Moves that cost nothing between places you do not track separately can be skipped. Transfers between characters must be recorded (or the contract reviewed as Transfer), otherwise the wrong character holds the stock in the app.
The sending character has fewer units in the app's lots than you are moving, at the chosen From location. Set From location to Any location, or first record where the stock came from (purchase, refine, opening balance). The Reconciliation tab on Stock shows what is missing.
That is on purpose: a lot keeps the cost it was given. The new rate applies to hauls you record from now on.
Record a haul with Fixed freight ISK and the courier reward as the total. The courier contract itself is treated as Ignored and never asks for a review, so nothing is counted twice.
The location is not one of your registered facilities. Add the structure on Facilities and it will show by name.
The PI output form only offers planetary commodities (P0 to P4). Check the spelling; if it is a fuel block or another manufactured item, it is not PI output.
The cost is what you actually spent: export tax and any extra per unit. The market price is kept as the lot's market value, so the difference shows up as value captured by sourcing on the Profit page. See cash and true margin.
No, you made ISK: your inputs were cheap (contracts, your own mining or PI). But selling those inputs at market would have earned more than reacting them. Consider selling the inputs, or making something else; the True / slot-hour column on the Products tab helps you choose.
Check the period: jobs count on their delivery date. EVE reports deliveries every few minutes, so a job delivered just now may take a moment. If it still does not appear, its inputs may be short (look in the Inbox), or it started before Post jobs started after in Settings.
Your valuation market had no price for the product at that time. These jobs are left out of output value and margins. Make sure the product's price is tracked (Settings → Markets and prices) and that your valuation market trades it.
Broker fees are not included, and sales tax is estimated from the Accounting level your character has today. Subtract your broker fees for the real figure.
Contract sales pay no sales tax in EVE, so the app charges none. Only market sales are taxed.
Market values are recorded when each event happens (delivery, sale, purchase) and kept. A new valuation market only affects events from now on.
You paid more than the market value for those items, or a custom price was entered too high. Hover the Lines number to see the price of each item, and open the contract to check.
The batch is still At refiner: the minerals have not come back, so there is nothing to compare yet. Record the return (on Refining, or by reviewing the return contract as Refine return) and the gain appears.
Start a job there and wait for the jobs sync: the Inbox then has an item with a Register facility button that fills the id in for you. See Finding the structure id.
The job ran in a structure the app does not know, so it cannot cost it. Use Register facility on the inbox item, fill in the form and press Register; the job is retried automatically.
Check that the facility is active and that the right service is ticked under Services online (for example Hybrid for hybrid reactions). The facility page's Recipe support table shows what can run there. Also check the reaction group is switched on in Settings → Reaction groups.
Two of the ticked rigs are in the same group (look for the Same group chip). Untick one of them.
Check the structure type, the true security (and so the band), the services and the rigs. The facility page shows only the structure's part; the game also applies your skills. See Bonuses.
You cannot from the app: Deactivate is the only option and it keeps the record for history. Ask an admin if you need it undone.
No. Jobs and refines already costed keep their figures. Changes apply to new plans, estimates and refines. See How costs and profit work.
The structure you build them in (often an Engineering Complex such as a Raitaru), with Manufacturing ticked under Services online. Fit its Engineering rigs with Change rigs.
A character can belong to one account in this app only, and this one is already in another account. Log in to that account instead. If it should move to yours, ask an admin.
The character was sold or transferred to a different EVE account since it was linked, so the app stopped its old link: the stored login is deleted, the character is set inactive and its history stays with the old app account. Only an admin can move it.
Your account already has as many characters as the admin allows (deactivated ones included). Ask an admin to raise the limit.
Press Add character (or Re-authorise) again and finish the EVE login in the same browser without waiting too long.
Press Re-authorise, pick that same character on EVE's page and accept every permission. Until then its data does not sync. See Re-authorising and scopes.
They come from the skills sync, which runs once a day. After training a skill, open the character and press Run now on its Skills row. Slots are 1 + Mass Reactions + Advanced Mass Reactions; remote range is 5 jumps per Remote Reactions level.
You cannot delete one. Deactivate stops its syncing and keeps its history; Forget token also deletes the stored EVE login. Both keep it in your character count.
You log in on CCP's own page and never give this app your password. The app receives a token that only reads the data you allowed, and stores it encrypted. Use Forget token to remove it, or revoke the app on EVE's website. Your account itself is on Account and sessions.
Industry jobs sync every 5 to 10 minutes, and EVE caches its answer for a few minutes too. Wait, or click the character's Industry jobs cell and press Run now. If it is red or parked, read the error or re-authorise the character.
ESI said the app had used most of its allowed errors, so the app stopped calling it until the time shown to avoid being blocked. Nothing to do: syncs resume by themselves.
The character's EVE login no longer works for this kind of data. Re-authorise the character on Characters and accept every permission; the timer restarts by itself.
Prices, adjusted prices, cost indices and market history are shared by every account, so only admins can run them by hand. They refresh on their own every hour.
It only runs for the character chosen as Auth character of one of your active structure markets in Settings → Markets and prices. For the others it never runs, which is normal.
Automatic syncing is switched off on this server and only Run now updates data. Ask an admin.
A partial run stored what it could and skipped a few items that failed; a failed run stored nothing. Both show the reason in the cell and in the run log.
Assets, wallet, contracts, mining and orders sync hourly, and EVE itself refreshes them only about once an hour, so pressing Run now earlier usually returns the same data. See Stock → Holdings.
Settings→General→Post jobs started after: set it to when you entered your opening balances. Everything else can stay at its default until you need it. See Getting started.
That is by design. Each lot keeps the cost it was given when recorded, so freight, mined ore, purchase price and similar settings only affect what you record afterwards. See Lots.
The valuation and fallback market settings take the Location id of a market already in the Markets list on Markets and prices. Copy the number from that column. To use a new structure market, add it there first.
The Stock page has its own market and price picker that affects only that page. The Dashboard and Reports use Valuation market location id and Valuation price field on the Costing tab.
They are instance settings, shared by every account on this app, so only admins can change them. The same goes for sign-up and the character and tracked-item limits, which admins manage on Admin → Registration and limits.
Its group may be switched off. Tick it on the Reaction groups tab and press Save groups. Also check that a facility with the right reactor service online exists (Recipe support).
It is probably not tracked. Find it under Tracked types with Include untracked on, and switch Hourly prices to Tracked. Prices arrive with the next hourly run.
Open Runs to read the error. Usually the auth character cannot dock there or lacks the structure market permission: choose another Auth character or re-authorise it on Characters.
They are saved in this browser's cookies. Another browser, a private window or clearing cookies starts from the defaults.
It depends on the sign-up rule the admin chose. The bottom of the log-in page tells you which applies:
No. You log in on CCP's own EVE SSO page. The app receives a token that can only read the data you approved (all read-only), and it stores that token encrypted. To stop the app reading a character, use Forget token on its card in Characters, or remove the app's access in your EVE account settings on CCP's website.
Start the login again from the log-in page and finish it within 10 minutes, in the same browser. It happens when EVE's page was left open too long, or the login was finished in a different browser or a private window.
Each invite link works once, may expire, and can be revoked by an admin. Ask the admin for a new one.
An admin has disabled the account. Its data is kept. Ask an admin why; only an admin can enable it again.
A character can belong to one account only. Log in with that character to reach the account it belongs to. To move it, that account must be deleted first: a character cannot be taken out of an account on its own.
The character was sold or transferred to another EVE account after it was linked here. To protect the old owner, the app stopped syncing it and refused the login; the old account keeps the character's history and gets an Inbox item. The app cannot move one character between accounts yet, so it can only be used again once the account holding it is deleted. Send the admins a ticket with Feedback.
The admin sets how many characters one account may hold (10 unless they changed it). The Account page shows Characters as, for example, 10 of 10. Ask an admin to raise the limit.
Sessions last 30 days from their last use. You are also logged out when someone used Log out everywhere else from another browser, or an admin disabled the account. Log in again; you land on the Dashboard.
The app must keep at least one admin. Make another account an admin under Admin→Accounts (Make admin), then delete yours.
Each account can send 10 tickets in any hour. Wait a while and send it again, or put several points in one ticket.
Both the Title and the Details must have some text before the ticket can be sent.
Every admin of this app, with your main character's name and the page you sent it from. Other users cannot. A ticket does not give the admins access to anything else in your account.
No. The reply and the new status appear on My tickets; check there.
No. Send a new ticket that mentions the first one's number (for example “about #12”) with the correction.
At the top of every page while you are logged in, between Guide and Record.
