1. What the Slots page is for

Every reaction slot of every character in one place: deliver what is ready, fill what is free.

A character can run a limited number of reaction jobs at once: its reaction slots. Each character has 1 + Mass Reactions level + Advanced Mass Reactions level slots, so up to 11. An idle slot is lost income. Slots shows you which slots are working, which are waiting for you, and which are free. From top to bottom:

Summary line
Totals across all characters, and when the next job finishes.
Ready to deliver
A checklist of finished jobs to deliver in game. Only shown when there are some.
Reaction slots
One row per character, one box per slot. Switch to Timeline to see the same slots over the coming hours and days.
Manufacturing (fuel blocks)
Manufacturing jobs, which use separate slots.

The page updates by itself when jobs change. Run jobs sync now at the top right fetches your jobs from EVE straight away instead of waiting for the next sync (every 5 to 10 minutes).

A slot frees only when you deliver
When a job's timer ends, the job is Ready but it still holds its slot. You must deliver it in game before you can start another job there. That is why ready jobs are shown first and in amber.

2. The summary line

For example: 27 slots · 21 running · 3 ready (waiting 5h 40m) · 2 free · 1 paused · next job finishes 14:51 (in 19m).

N slots
All reaction slots of all active characters. Hover for the number of characters.
N running
Reaction jobs still in progress.
N ready (waiting …)
Finished jobs not yet delivered. The time is the slot time lost so far, all ready jobs added together; hover for the longest single wait.
N free
Slots with no job: you can start a reaction there now.
N paused
Jobs in a structure that went offline. Only shown when there are some.
next job finishes
The time (EVE time) and countdown until the next running job ends. Hover for which job.

When every slot is running and nothing is ready, it simply says All N slots busy.

3. Reading a character's row

The Grid view (the default): one row per character, one small box per reaction slot.

Characters with the most free and ready slots are listed first, so the ones that need you are at the top. Each row has:

Character
Its portrait and name. Click to open the character.
R5
Its Reactions skill level. Hover to see how its slot count is worked out.
20j
Its remote reaction range: how many jumps away from its current location it can start a reaction (5 jumps per level of Remote Reactions; 0j means it must be docked in the structure).
The slot boxes
See below.
Counts
N running · N ready · N paused · N free for this character.
Next:
When this character's next running job finishes, with a countdown.

The slot boxes

Boxes are always in this order: ready (longest waiting first), paused, running (soonest to end first), planned, free. Hover any box for the job, its times and its structure; click it to open the job.

Ready (amber, striped, box icon)
The timer has ended. Deliver it in game to free the slot. A box that just turned ready flashes and shows “awaiting jobs sync” in its tooltip until EVE confirms it.
Running (blue, with a bar)
In progress. The bar along the bottom fills as the job progresses.
Paused (purple, pause icon)
The structure is offline. The job keeps its slot and resumes when the structure comes back.
Red outline
Posting is blocked for this job (a running job also shows a warning icon). The job runs fine in game; fix the cause from the Inbox. See Posting status.
Planned (dashed blue circle)
A job from one of your saved plans, assigned to this character but not started yet. Planned boxes fill the free slots in order of planned start. If there are more planned jobs than free slots, “+N planned” follows the boxes.
Free (empty, dashed)
No job and nothing planned. Click it to plan a job for this character.

4. Delivering ready jobs

The Ready to deliver checklist turns a pile of finished jobs into a list you tick off in game.

The Ready to deliver panel lists every finished reaction job, longest waiting first, with its character, product and runs, structure and waiting …. When the jobs are in more than one structure they are grouped by structure, so you can deliver one structure at a time.

  1. 1
Log in the character in game
Open the industry window at the structure (or within remote range).
  2. 2
    Deliver the job
Deliver it in game. The slot is free from that moment.
  3. 3
    Tick it on the checklist
Ticking a row greys it out, strikes it through and moves it to the bottom, so the next job to deliver is always at the top.
  4. 4
Let the next jobs sync confirm it
Within 5 to 10 minutes EVE reports the delivery: the row disappears, the box turns free and the output is posted to stock (a Delivered: … posted to stock message appears). Press Run jobs sync now to confirm straight away.
Ticks are only reminders in this browser tab
Ticking a row does not tell the app or EVE anything. The tick is kept only in this browser tab: it is gone if you close the tab and does not show on another device. A job really leaves the list only when the jobs sync sees that you delivered it in game. A ticked job you have not actually delivered stays on the list.

Click a product name to open the job. You can also deliver straight from the Pipeline's Ready to deliver group (see the Pipeline guide).

5. Filling a free slot

  1. 1
    Click a free box
A small window opens: Free slot, … can start a reaction in this slot now.
  2. 2
Press Plan a job for …
The Planner opens for that character. Choose what to make; see the Planner guide.
  3. 3
    Or follow a saved plan
If you have saved plans, start their jobs from the plan's in-game checklist on Plans. Planned jobs already show as dashed boxes in the character's free slots.
  4. 4
    Start the job in game
After the next jobs sync the free or planned box turns into a running job. A planned job is matched to its plan automatically.

Make sure the structure is within the character's remote range (the …j chip), or dock the character in it.

6. The Timeline view

See when slots will open over the next hours or days, so you can plan your logins.

Switch with Grid / Timeline at the top right. Each character is a group (click the arrow to collapse it) with a summary such as 5 slots · 3 running · 1 ready · 1 free · 2 planned, and one lane per slot labelled Slot 1, Slot 2 · free and so on. Each job is a bar from its start to its end:

Running
Solid bar.
Ready, waiting
Striped amber: finished, waiting for you to deliver.
Paused
Purple, outlined bar.
Planned
Dashed outline: a saved plan's job at its planned start.

Planned jobs are placed in the lane that frees up just before their planned start. The blue line marked Now is the current time; grey bands marked DT are EVE's daily downtime. Hover a bar for the detail; click it to open the job.

Free capacity

The Free capacity lane at the bottom shows how many reaction slots are free across all characters from now on, assuming you deliver ready jobs now and planned jobs start as scheduled. Hover a step for the count and time. Use it to see when to log in next.

Moving around

12 h, 48 h, 7 d
How far ahead to show (48 h by default). Your choice is kept in the page address.
Earlier ‹ / Later ›
Move the window back or forward.
Now
Back to the current time.
Drag
Pan the timeline sideways.
← → ↑ ↓
Move between bars; Enter opens one. Home / End jump to the first or last bar in a lane.

The visible window is shown in EVE time next to the buttons. N planned jobs have no schedule and are not drawn means some planned jobs have no planned start; schedule their plan to place them.

7. Opening a job or a planned job

Click any box, checklist row or bar. A side panel opens:

A job
Its state and posting chips, a progress bar, and Character, Facility, Started, Ends, Duration, Output, Install cost (ESI), Inputs at cost, Inputs at market value and the Input materials. A ready job reminds you that the slot stays occupied until you deliver; Awaiting jobs sync means its timer ended on your clock but EVE has not confirmed it yet. A blocked job shows the reason with Open inbox →. Open full page opens the job page.
A planned job
Planned, and Ticked in checklist if you ticked it in the plan's in-game checklist. Product, runs, output, who it is assigned to, planned start and finish, and duration. Open plan opens the saved plan.

8. Manufacturing (fuel blocks)

Manufacturing jobs, such as fuel blocks, use manufacturing slots, which are separate from reaction slots, so they are listed in their own table and never fill a reaction slot. Columns: Product, Runs, Output, Character, State, Progress and Posting. Click a row to open the job. With none running it says No manufacturing jobs running.

9. Warnings you may see

Over capacity
A red chip on a character (and red-ringed boxes or lanes) when it has more jobs than its skills give slots. Usually a skill dropped or the skills have not synced yet. It corrects itself after the next skills sync; check the character's skills on Characters.
Re-authorise
A red link on a dimmed row: EVE no longer accepts the character's login, there is no login stored, or it lacks the industry jobs permission, so its slots may be out of date. Click it and log in to EVE with that character.
Jobs last synced … ago; slots may be out of date
The oldest jobs sync is more than 20 minutes old (or Jobs have never synced for some characters). Press the Run jobs sync now next to it, or check Sync.
N planned reaction jobs are not assigned to a listed character
Some saved plans have reaction jobs with no character, or a character that is inactive. Click the plan to assign them.
N inactive characters hidden
Deactivated characters are not shown. Click to open Characters and switch them back on.
Planned jobs from saved plans are not shown: …
Your saved plans could not be loaded; the jobs themselves are still correct.
No characters yet
Press Add character to add your first one.

Slots

The job's timer ended but the slot is still busy.

A slot frees only when you deliver the job in game. Until then it is Ready (amber) and still holds the slot. Deliver it, and the box turns free at the next jobs sync.

I ticked items on the Ready to deliver checklist and they came back.

Ticks are reminders kept only in that browser tab; a new tab or another device starts with none. A row leaves the list for good only when the jobs sync sees the delivery in game. If you did deliver, press Run jobs sync now.

A character shows “Over capacity”.

It has more jobs than its skills give slots, usually because skills changed or have not synced yet. It corrects itself after the daily skills sync.

How many slots should my character have?

1 + Mass Reactions level + Advanced Mass Reactions level. Hover the R chip on its row to see the sum. If it looks wrong, check the character's skills on Characters; skills sync once a day.

What does the “20j” chip mean?

The character can start reactions in structures up to that many jumps away (5 jumps per level of Remote Reactions). 0j means it must be docked in the structure.

A box has a red outline.

Posting is blocked for that job: the app could not take its inputs from your stock. The job runs fine in game. Click the box and press Open inbox → to fix it; see Fixing a blocked job.

My fuel block jobs are not in the slot boxes.

Manufacturing uses separate slots from reactions, so those jobs are listed in the Manufacturing (fuel blocks) table below the reaction slots.
