One short form for each kind of event EVE does not report to the app.
The app reads jobs, market buys and sales, mining and contracts from EVE by itself. Everything else that changes your stock you record here, so the app's stock matches the game and every unit carries a cost. Open a form in any of three ways:
Each form opens as a panel on the right, titled after what you record (for example Record purchase). The common fields:
The Record button at the bottom stays grey until the required fields are filled; hover it to see what is missing (for example Pick a character, Pick an item, Enter a quantity). When it is saved, a message confirms it with a link to the new lot, for example Purchase recorded · Lot #123. If the app refuses, the reason appears in red at the top of the form.
Items you bought that EVE does not report as a market buy or a contract.
Use it for a trade-window deal, a buyback paid outside EVE's contracts, items bought for you by a character not in the app, or to give a cost to units Reconciliation found. Do not use it for market buys (the wallet sync records them) or contract purchases (review the contract instead, see Contracts).
What it does: adds a lot with source Manual purchase to the character, with no location (it can be used for a job or a refine anywhere).
If it is refused: No market price for type … at …; give unitPrice means you left the price empty and the market has no price for that item at that time. Enter the price you paid.
Ore, ice or gas you mined that the mining ledger does not show.
Ore your added characters mine reaches the app by itself from EVE's mining ledger every hour. Use this form only for mining the ledger does not show, such as ore mined by a character you have not added, or mined before EVE's ledger history (about 30 days).
What it does: adds a lot with source Mined, marked self-sourced (you produced it yourself). Its cost per unit is the rate per m³ from Settings → Mined ore (a per-ore override if you set one, else Mined ore cost (ISK per m³), 0 by default) times the ore's volume. At the default the ore costs nothing, so everything you make from it shows its full value as profit. See How costs and profit work.
Stock you held before you started using the app. Usually done once, during setup.
The app only knows about stock that arrived while it was watching. An opening balance tells it what you already had and what it cost, so jobs can take their inputs from it and profit is right. Do it per character and item; Reconciliation shows how many units each one needs (see First-time setup).
What it does: adds a lot with source Opening balance, with no location. It is not marked self-sourced, even for ore you mined; record that ore with Mined ore instead if you want it treated as your own production.
Missing price? The button says Enter a price.
Items you sold that EVE does not report as a market sale or a contract.
Market sales of tracked items come from your wallet every hour, and contract sales are reviewed in the Inbox. Use this form for anything else: a trade-window sale, a sale through a corporation contract or a character not in the app.
What it does: takes the units from the character's lots, oldest first (self-sourced lots first if Consume self-sourced lots first is on in Settings → Costing, which is the default). The sale appears on the Sales tab of Profit: revenue minus what those units cost minus the estimated sales tax. The message says Sale recorded (there is no new lot to link).
If it is refused: Not enough stock. Character … is short … of type … means the app has fewer units recorded than you are selling. Record where the missing units came from first (purchase, opening balance), then the sale.
Add or remove stock for any reason the other forms do not cover.
Use it for a loss (a ship blown up with cargo), a gift, items found in a container, a cancelled job's materials, or to correct a mistake. Reconciliation and the Inbox open it with the difference already filled in.
Adding creates a lot with source Adjustment and the reason as its note. Removing takes the units from the oldest lots (self-sourced first if that setting is on). Removed units simply leave your stock: they do not count as a sale or a loss in any profit report.
If it is refused: Not enough stock. Character … is short … when removing more than is recorded; No market price for type …; give unitCashCost when adding with no cost and no market price exists. The button says Give a reason until the reason is filled.
Ore, ice or gas you compressed in game. EVE never reports compression.
Without this, the app still thinks you hold the uncompressed ore, and the compressed ore shows as a gap on Reconciliation. Record it every time you compress.
What it does: takes the units from the uncompressed lots (oldest first) and creates the same number of units of the compressed type with source Compressed, one lot per lot used. Cost, self-sourced status and history carry over: compressing does not change what the ore cost you.
If it is refused: Not enough stock… when the app has fewer uncompressed units recorded (at that location, if you chose one); Type … has no compressed form when the item cannot be compressed. If you are sure it can, ask an admin to import the latest static data.
Ore you reprocessed into minerals, yourself or through a contracted refiner.
EVE never reports reprocessing. This form swaps the ore for minerals and carries the ore's cost, the structure tax and any refining fee into the minerals. It is wider than the others and shows a live preview. It also opens from Record refine batch on Refining and from Record with this refiner on Refining → Compare. See Refining.
Once ore, quantity, facility and refiner are set, the Preview box lists each mineral with its Expected quantity and Value, a yield breakdown that matches the game's reprocessing window line by line (facility base yield, Reprocessing, Reprocessing Efficiency, the ore skill, implant, Total), the Estimated tax (ISK), and Refined / leftover ore. Compare it with the game window before you refine.
What it does: takes the ore from the owner's lots at that facility or with no location (your own mined ore first), then adds a Refined lot per mineral at the facility. The ore's cost plus the tax and fee are shared across the minerals by market value. The minerals are self-sourced if all the ore was.
If it is refused:
Items moved between structures, or handed from one of your characters to another without a contract.
EVE does not report items being moved, and a transfer by contract is reviewed in the Inbox instead. Record a haul when the location matters (ore must be at the refinery to be refined) or to add the freight you paid to the cost of what you moved. It also opens from Record haul on Hauls and PI. See Hauls and PI.
What it does: takes the units from the From character's lots (oldest first) and re-creates them on the To character at the To location, with source Hauled (same character) or Transfer in (another character). Each unit keeps its cost and self-sourced status, plus its share of the freight by volume. For example 500 ISK per m³ adds 25 ISK to a moon material of 0.05 m³. Typical volumes: moon materials 0.05 m³, intermediates 0.2 m³, fuel blocks 5 m³.
If it is refused: the button says Add at least one item with a quantity until a row is complete; Not enough stock… when the From character has fewer units recorded (at the From location, if you chose one); items list type … more than once when the same item is on two rows.
Planetary products you made yourself, for example for fuel blocks.
EVE shows your colonies but not what they produced, so you record the products when you export them. Only needed if you use your own planetary products. It also opens from Record PI output on the PI tab of Hauls and PI.
What it does: adds a Planetary lot, marked self-sourced, with no location. Its cost per unit is the export tax (the tier's base value × your customs rate) plus the extra cost. The base values are in PI customs base values under Settings → Costing: P0 5, P1 400, P2 7,200, P3 60,000 and P4 1,200,000 ISK by default. For example a P2 product at 10% costs 720 ISK per unit.
Elsewhere in the app, buttons open the same forms with the details already filled in.
Check the pre-filled values, change what is wrong, and press Record.
Click a question to open it.
The app has fewer units of that item recorded on that character (and at that location, for compression, refines and hauls) than you are taking out. Record where the units came from first: an opening balance, a purchase, mined ore or a haul to the right place. Stock → Reconciliation shows how far the records are from the game.
You left the price empty and the market has no price for that item at that time, so the app cannot guess the cost. Enter the price you paid (Unit price (ISK)), or for an adjustment the Unit cash cost for additions.
No. The wallet sync records market buys and sales of tracked items every hour. Recording them as well counts them twice. Use Purchase and Sale only for deals EVE does not report.
Not usually. Ore your added characters mine comes in from the mining ledger every hour. Record it by hand only when the ledger does not have it.
Records cannot be edited or deleted. Use Record→Stock adjustment to reverse it (a negative quantity removes units you added by mistake; a positive one puts back units you removed), with a reason, then record it again correctly.
If you used a contract, review it in the Inbox as a transfer (see Contracts). Otherwise record a Haul or transfer with a different To character.
Market buys are recorded where you bought them, and a refine only uses ore at the refining facility (or with no location). Record a Haul or transfer with To location set to the facility first.
Ore is refined in portions (usually 100 units). Less than one portion refines nothing, so the app refuses it.
The item cannot be compressed, or the app's static data does not know its compressed form yet. Check you picked the ore, ice or gas itself. If it is a new item, ask an admin to import the latest static data.
