1. What the app does

A tracker for EVE Online reactions, from ore and contracts to delivered products and profit.

The app follows your reaction business across all your characters. It reads what it can from EVE through ESI (EVE's official interface for apps: industry jobs, skills, assets, wallet, contracts, mining) and asks you to record the rest. With that it tells you:

Which slots are idle
Jobs that are ready to deliver and reaction slots that are free, so no slot sits waiting. See Slots.
What to make and what to buy
The full production tree for a product, what you are short of, and which character starts which job. See Planner.
What you hold and what it cost
Every unit of stock, where it came from and what you paid for it. See Stock.
Whether you are making money
Profit per job, product, sale, refine batch and contract. See Profit reports.
The app never starts or delivers jobs for you
EVE does not allow apps to start or deliver industry jobs through ESI. You do both in the game client, as always. The app sees each job within 5 to 10 minutes and updates its records.
Your data is private
Each account sees only its own characters, jobs, stock and plans. Admins can see who has an account (main character, number of characters, last login), never what is in it. The only thing they read is a ticket you send them with Feedback.

2. What the app reads from EVE, and what you record

Knowing this split is the key to correct stock and profit figures.

The app reads these from EVE by itself, on a timer. You do not record them, and recording them as well would count them twice:

Industry jobs
Every 5 to 10 minutes. Starting a job takes its inputs from your recorded stock; delivering it adds the product.
Wallet (market buys and sales)
Hourly. Market purchases become stock with the price you paid; market sales take stock out and count as sales. Only items the app tracks (reaction materials, products, ore and minerals by default) are counted.
Mining ledger
Hourly. Ore your characters mine becomes stock, costed at your mined ore rate.
Contracts
Hourly. Each contract lands in the Inbox for you to say what it was (purchase, sale, transfer, refine). See Contracts.
Assets and sell orders
Hourly. What your characters hold, used on the Stock page and to spot gaps. See Reconciliation.
Skills, implants, blueprints
Daily. Used for slot counts, remote range, refining yield and job times.

EVE does not tell the app about the following, so you record them with the Record button: stock you held before you started, refining, compressing, moving items between structures or characters (other than by contract), planetary production, and anything bought or sold outside the market and contracts. See Recording what ESI cannot see.

3. First-time setup

About 20 minutes, most of it waiting for the first sync. Do the steps in this order.

  1. 1
    Log in with EVE Online
On the log-in page press Log in with EVE Online and pick a character. You type your password on CCP's own page, never in this app. Depending on how the app is set up, a new account opens straight away, needs an invite link from an admin (Sign up with EVE Online on the invite page), or is closed to new people. The first character becomes your main character and starts syncing. See Logging in and your account.
  2. 2
Set “Post jobs started after” straight away
Open Settings → General and set Post jobs started after to the current EVE time, then save. EVE sends up to 90 days of old jobs on the first sync; jobs started before this moment are stored but marked Ignored: they take nothing from your stock, add nothing when delivered and are not costed. Without it, every old job would show as Blocked because the app has no record of the stock they used. Jobs you start from now on are costed normally.
  3. 3
    Add your other characters
On Characters press Add character and log in to EVE with the alt, accepting every permission it asks for. Repeat for each character that runs reactions, refines or holds stock. An account can have up to 10 characters unless your admin changed the limit. Slot counts and remote range come from each character's skills. See Characters.

4. How the screen is laid out

The same frame is on every page: sidebar on the left, header on top, a status strip under it.

Sidebar

Pages are grouped as Overview (Dashboard), Operate (Pipeline, Slots, Inbox), Plan (Planner, Plans, Refining), Stock (Stock, Contracts, Hauls and PI), Reports (Profit), Setup (Facilities, Characters, Sync and ESI, Settings, and Admin for admins) and Help (Guides and FAQ). Two pages carry a number:

Slots
Amber: jobs ready to deliver.
Inbox
Open items. It turns red when something blocks a job from being costed or a character needs re-authorising.

Collapse at the bottom shrinks the sidebar to icons (hover an icon for its name); the app remembers your choice. On a narrow window the sidebar is hidden: use search (⌘K) to move between pages.

Header, left to right

Search types, jobs, lots
Opens the command palette (⌘K or Ctrl K). Type a page name, an item name (2 letters or more; opens the item on the Stock page), a guide, an action such as “Record purchase” or “Run jobs sync now”, or a number to open that job, lot or contract.
EVE clock
The current EVE time (UTC) and DT in …, the countdown to the daily downtime at 11:00. During downtime it reads Downtime. Every time in the app is EVE time.

5. Your everyday routine

What a typical login looks like once setup is done.

  1. 1
    Check the action strip
It tells you at a glance how many jobs are ready, how many slots are free, and whether anything is blocked or waiting in the Inbox.
  2. 2
    Deliver what is ready
Open Slots. The Ready to deliver list shows finished jobs, longest waiting first. Deliver them in game and tick them off as you go. A slot only frees once you deliver the job, not when its timer ends. The products are added to your stock at the next jobs sync.
  3. 3
    Fill the free slots
Follow the Checklist of a saved plan on Plans, or click a free slot on Slots and choose Plan a job for …. Start the jobs in game.
  4. 4
    Let sync catch up
Within 5 to 10 minutes new jobs appear on Pipeline and Slots, and the lines of your plan switch to Started. In a hurry? Press Run jobs sync now on Pipeline or Slots, or choose it in search (⌘K).
  5. 5
    Clear the Inbox
The holds everything the app could not settle on its own: contracts to review, jobs short of stock, structures to register, characters to re-authorise, stock gaps. Each item has buttons that fix it in place.

Getting started

Can the app start, deliver or cancel jobs for me?

No. EVE does not allow apps to start or deliver industry jobs through ESI. You do that in the game client; the app sees the change within 5 to 10 minutes.

I started a job in game but it does not show up.

Jobs are read every 5 to 10 minutes. Wait a few minutes, or press Run jobs sync now on Pipeline or Slots. If it still does not appear:

  • check that the character is added and active on Characters, with no re-authorisation warning;
  • check its row on Sync and ESI; a failed or parked sync shows why.
Why are my old jobs marked “Ignored”?

They started before Post jobs started after (Settings → General). That is on purpose: the app has no record of the stock they used, so it leaves them out instead of blocking them. Hover the chip to see the reason. Move the date earlier only if your opening balances were taken earlier too.

My first sync filled the Inbox with old contracts and sales.

EVE sends recent history on the first sync. In the Inbox, use Select and Dismiss selected for items from before you started. Dismissed contracts stay unreviewed and change nothing in your stock. See Inbox.

How do I get rid of the Set up card on the Dashboard?

Finish its steps: it disappears once all five are ticked. If Backend configured for EVE SSO is not ticked, only your admin can fix it.

What time zone are the times in?

EVE time (UTC), like the game. Turn on Local time in tooltips in Settings → Display to see your own time when you hover a timestamp.

The header says “Offline” or the strip says “Live updates off”.

The page stopped receiving live updates, for example after a network blip. It reconnects on its own (every 30 seconds once offline). Until then, refresh the page to see new data. Your records are not affected.

The Sync dot in the header is red.
Pressing letters on the keyboard jumps to other pages.

Recording what ESI cannot see

Something unclear or out of date? Ask your admin. All guides

Register your structures and their rigs
On Facilities press Add facility for each structure you react, refine or manufacture in: structure id, name, type, solar system, the Services online and the taxes. Then open it and use Change rigs. Rigs matter more than they look: EVE does not report a job's inputs, so the app works them out from the formula, the runs and the rig bonus. Not sure of a structure id? Start a job there; the Inbox raises an item with a Register facility button and the id filled in. See Facilities.
  • 5
    Let the first sync run
New characters are picked up within about 15 minutes. You can speed it up on Sync and ESI with Run now. The first sync brings in your jobs and assets, and also your recent market buys and sales and your mining ledger (EVE keeps about 30 days of each). Those become stock records on their own. See Sync and ESI.
  • 6
    Enter your opening balances
Open Stock → Reconciliation. Each row shows, per character and item, what the app has recorded (Lots qty) next to what EVE says you hold (ESI qty). For every item where you hold more, use Record→Opening balance with that difference and what each unit cost you. Best done before you start new jobs. Without opening balances, new jobs show Blocked because the app does not know you have the inputs.
  • 7
Clear the old items from the Inbox
The first sync can fill the Inbox with contracts and market sales from before you started. Review the ones that matter; dismiss the rest with Select and Dismiss selected. See Inbox.
  • 8
Add your refiners (if you refine moon ore)
On Refining → Refiners press Add refiner for your own refining character (skills come from EVE) and for each contracted refiner you use (skill levels, implant and fee). See Refining.
  • 9
    Optional: tune your settings
In Settings: what mined ore costs you (Mined ore), the freight rate for hauls and which market values your stock (Costing), which Reaction groups the planner offers, your own structure market (Markets and prices), and under Display your usual Next login (EVE time), local time in tooltips and keyboard shortcuts. See Settings.
  • Jobs that were already running
Jobs started before Post jobs started after are ignored, including when you deliver them, so their products are not added to your stock. After you deliver them, record those products as an opening balance too (Reconciliation shows the gap).

The Set up card on the Dashboard

Until setup is done, the Dashboard shows a Set up card with N of 5 steps left. Each open step has a button that takes you to the right page, and the card disappears once every step is ticked:

    Backend configured for EVE SSO
The server is set up for EVE logins. If this is not ticked, tell your admin; you cannot fix it yourself.
    Add a character
Ticked once you have at least one character.
Register your reaction and refining structures
Ticked once you have at least one facility.
    Enter opening balances
Ticked once you have recorded at least one opening balance. Its button opens the Stock page; record them with Record→Opening balance.
    Set “post jobs started after”
Ticked once you have saved a date for Post jobs started after.
    Live
Green: pages update by themselves as jobs start, finish and sync. Live… (amber) means it is reconnecting; Offline (red) means updates stopped and it retries every 30 seconds. Until it is back, refresh the page to see new data.
    Sync
Green when every sync ran on time. Amber when some finished only partly. Red when a sync failed, a character needs re-authorising, or EVE asked the app to pause. Hover for the reason; click to open Sync and ESI.
    Guide
Opens the guide for the page you are on, or the list of guides.
    Feedback
Report a bug, request a feature or ask a question. The admins get it as a ticket. See Feedback and tickets.
    Record
A menu of forms for what EVE cannot see: purchase, mined ore, opening balance, sale, stock adjustment, compression, refine batch, haul or transfer, PI output. Press n to open it. See Recording what ESI cannot see.
    Account menu
Your main character's name (with an admin tag for admins): Account and sessions, Guides and FAQ, My tickets and Log out.

    The action strip

The line under the header tells you whether anything needs you. Each count links to the page that deals with it:

    ready to deliver
Finished jobs waiting to be delivered in game. Opens Slots.
    free slots
Reaction slots with nothing running. Opens Slots.
    blocked
Jobs the app could not cost. Opens Pipeline filtered to blocked jobs.
    in inbox
Open Inbox items; red when one blocks a job or a character needs re-authorising.
    at refiner
Refine batches sent to a contracted refiner and not yet returned. Opens Refining → Batches.

When every count reads 0, nothing needs you. Live updates off at the right end means the page is not updating by itself. The strip is hidden on the Setup pages.

Side panels, full pages and the page address

Clicking a row in most tables opens a side panel with the details; Open full page shows the same on its own page. Filters, tabs, date ranges and the selected character are kept in the page address, so you can bookmark or share any view and the browser's back button returns to it. Small pop-up messages at the bottom right confirm what you did and warn you of new events, such as a job ready to deliver or a job that got blocked; most have a button to the page that deals with it.

Press ? for the keyboard shortcuts. See Keyboard shortcuts.

    Record what ESI cannot see
Refines, compression, hauls between structures, PI output and anything bought or sold outside the market and contracts: use the Record button. See Recording what ESI cannot see.
  • Planning a new batch

    1. 1
      Pick the product
On Planner, choose the product, the amount (runs or units) and your reaction facility, then press Plan (⌘↵).
    2. 2
Check the warnings and the shortfall
Fix any blocking warnings (skill too low, facility cannot run the formula). The Raw inputs tab shows what you are short of; Copy shortfall as multibuy pastes straight into EVE's multibuy window.
    3. 3
      Schedule and save
Press Schedule ▸ to spread the jobs over your characters' slots, then Save plan. A saved plan shows its jobs on Slots and Pipeline, and its Checklist tells you what to install, where and how many runs. See Planner and Plans.

A sync failed, a character needs re-authorising, or EVE asked the app to pause for a while. Hover the dot for the reason and click it to open Sync and ESI. A pause ends by itself. See Sync and ESI.

Those are single-key shortcuts (g then a letter, n for Record). Turn them off with Single-key shortcuts in Settings → Display. ⌘K keeps working.
