1. What the Admin page is for

Admins only. Run the app for everyone: who has an account, who may join, shared markets, tickets and a record of every change.

Admin appears in the sidebar under Setup for admins only. Anyone else who opens it sees Admins only. It has six tabs, listed down the left:

Accounts
Every account: who owns it, its status and role. Disable, enable, delete, and give or take the admin role.
Invites
Create single-use sign-up links and revoke unused ones.
Tickets
Bug reports, feature requests and questions from every account. Set their status and reply.
Shared markets
NPC station markets that every account can value its stock at.
Registration and limits
Who may sign up, and the limits that apply to every account.
Audit log
Who changed what on this page, and when.
Admins never see what is in an account
You see who has an account (its main character, how many characters and sessions, when it was created and last logged in), never its jobs, stock, plans, wallet or settings. Making someone an admin does not change that.

Your own account is an ordinary account for everything else in the app. The admin tag next to your name at the top right shows that you have the role.

2. Accounts

Every account on the app, with the actions to manage it.

The panel title says how many accounts there are and how many are active. One row per account:

Account
The main character's name (or No main character) and the account number. you marks your own.
Role
Admin or User.
Status
Active, or Disabled with the reason you gave underneath (hover the label to read all of it).
Characters
Characters linked. When some are inactive (not syncing) it shows, for example, 2 of 3: active of linked.
Sessions
Browsers currently logged in to the account.
Created, Last login
When the account was created and last logged in.
Invite
The note of the invite used to sign up, or its number. Empty for accounts that joined without one.
Actions
The buttons below. Your own row shows Your account instead: you cannot change your own account here.

The actions

Disable
Locks the account. Every session ends at once, its characters can no longer log in (they see This account is disabled. Ask the admin.) and its characters stop syncing. Its data is kept. You can add a Reason (optional, kept with the account) of up to 300 characters; it shows in the list and the audit log.

3. Invites

Single-use links that let one person create an account.

An invite link signs up one new account, then stops working. Invites work while Who may sign up is invite only or open. While sign-up is closed, a warning at the top of the tab says the links do not work yet; change it on Registration and limits first.

Create an invite

  1. 1
    Say who it is for
In Who it is for, write a note such as “for Bob, beta wave 1” (optional, up to 200 characters). Only admins see it; it later shows on the account it signed up.
  2. 2
    Choose when it expires
Expires after: 1 day, 7 days (the default), 30 days, 90 days or Never.
  3. 3
    Press Create invite link
The link appears in a box under the form.
  4. 4
    Copy it now
Press Copy link and send it to the person. The box says it is shown only once: the app keeps only a fingerprint of the link, so it cannot show it again once you leave the page. Lost it? Revoke it and create another.

The person opens the link and presses Sign up with EVE Online; see the Logging in and your account guide.

The invite list

4. Tickets

Read and answer what users send with the Feedback button.

Users send tickets with Feedback at the top of any page (see the Feedback and tickets guide). They appear here, newest first, from every account.

  1. 1
    Filter by status
Use the buttons above the list: All, Open, In progress, Done, Won't do. The count at the top of the list follows the filter.
  2. 2
    Read the ticket
Each one shows its status, type, title, number, the user's text, who sent it (their main character), when, and the page it was sent from. Open that page yourself to see the screen they mean (with your own data).
  3. 3
    Write a reply
In Reply to the sender (optional, up to 5,000 characters). The sender sees it on My tickets as Admin reply.
  4. 4
    Set the status
Pick Open, In progress, Done or Won't do in Status.
  5. 5

5. Shared markets

NPC station markets that every account can value its stock at.

A shared market is an NPC station whose prices the app collects every hour for everyone. Every account can pick it on Stock→Holdings and as its valuation market in Settings. Jita 4-4 is shared from the start. Player structure markets cannot be shared: their order books need the account's own docking access, so each account adds those itself under Settings→Markets and prices (see the Settings guide).

Share an NPC station

  1. 1
    Enter the NPC station id
The trade hubs are listed under the field: Jita 60003760, Amarr 60008494, Dodixie 60011866, Rens 60004588, Hek 60005686. Any NPC station works (ids 60000000 to 63999999).
  2. 2
    Name it (optional)
Leave Name (optional) empty to use the station's name from EVE, or type a shorter one such as “Amarr”.
  3. 3
    Press Share market
The app looks the station up in EVE and adds it. A message says, for example, Amarr VIII … is now shared with every account. Prices arrive from the next hourly run.
The station id is a whole number, e.g. 60008494 for Amarr VIII.
You typed something that is not a number.
locationId must be an NPC station id (60000000–63999999); structure markets are added per account under Settings

6. Registration and limits

Rules that apply to every account at once.

Each setting has a short description, its current value, its Default, and a Changed label when it is not the default. Change a value, then press Save (or Cancel); Reset puts the default back. Every change is recorded in the audit log.

Who may sign up
CLOSED (the default): nobody new can create an account. INVITE_ONLY: only with a valid invite link. OPEN: any character not yet linked to an account creates one by logging in. Existing accounts can always log in and link characters, whatever you choose.
Characters per account
How many characters one account may link: 1 to 100, default 10. It limits the load one account puts on EVE's servers. Lowering it removes no characters; accounts above it just cannot add more.
Tracked types per account
How many items one account may track prices for: 50 to 20,000, default 1,000. The hourly price run fetches every item any account tracks, so this caps what one account adds. Users who reach it see This account already tracks 1000 types (maxTrackedTypesPerAccount): stop tracking one first.
ESI rate safety margin
Default 20%. The app slows its calls to EVE when less than this share of EVE's allowance is left. Leave it unless calls are being throttled.
ESI error limit floor
Default 20. EVE blocks an app that causes too many errors; the app pauses all its calls when the errors it may still make drop below this number, and resumes on its own.

The two ESI settings also appear in the panel under , read-only for users. Users do not see the other three in Settings; they only meet the limits (the Account page shows how many characters they have of how many allowed).

7. Audit log

Every admin change, newest first.

The log shows 100 entries at a time; Older and Newest at the top move between pages. It records who did what, never tokens or anything inside an account.

When
How long ago. Hover for the exact EVE time.
Who
The admin's main character, or Deleted account or system when that account is gone or the app did it.
What
What happened (see the list below).
Details
Which account, invite, setting, market or ticket, and what changed.

What is recorded

Disabled account
With the reason, if one was given.
Enabled account
An account was enabled again.
Deleted account
By an admin, or (by itself) when the owner deleted it on their Account page.
Changed role
For example user to admin.
Created invite
Its number, note and expiry (or never expires).
Revoked invite
Its number.
Changed setting
An instance setting, with the old and new value. Settings appear by their internal names: registrationMode is Who may sign up, maxCharactersPerAccount is Characters per account, maxTrackedTypesPerAccount is Tracked types per account, esiRateSafetyMargin and esiErrorLimitFloor are the ESI settings.

8. Admin controls on other pages

A few shared things are managed outside the Admin page.

Settings→Static data
Import SDE: loads EVE's item and recipe data for everyone. Users see it read-only. See the Settings guide.
Settings→Markets and prices
The ESI budget panel: the same two ESI settings as on Registration and limits.
Sync and ESI
Run now on the Public row (market prices, adjusted prices, cost indices), which every account shares. Users can only wait for its timer. See the Sync and ESI guide.

Administration

How do I invite someone?

Check that Admin→Registration and limits→Who may sign up is INVITE_ONLY (or OPEN). Then on Invites, write who it is for, choose when it expires, press Create invite link and Copy link. Send the link to them; it works once.

I lost an invite link before sending it.

It cannot be shown again: only a fingerprint is stored. Revoke that invite and create a new one.

Can I see what other accounts hold?

No. Admins see who has an account (main character, counts, dates, status, sessions) and the tickets users send, never the jobs, stock, plans, wallet or settings inside an account.

“… is the only active admin: make another account admin before you …”

The app must always have one active admin. Use Make admin on another account first, then disable, delete or demote this one.

Why is there no Delete button on an account?

Delete appears only on disabled accounts, so deleting always takes two deliberate steps. Press Disable first.

Why can I not change my own account on the Accounts tab?

So you cannot lock yourself out by accident. Another admin can change your role or status. To delete your own account, use the Account page (see Deleting your account).

A user says their character “now belongs to another EVE account”. How do I move it?

The app cannot move a single character between accounts yet. The character is freed only when the account holding it is deleted (by its owner, or by you after disabling it), which deletes everything in that account. Agree with both people before doing that.

How do I add Amarr (or another hub) for everyone?

On Shared markets, enter the station id (Amarr is 60008494) and press Share market. Prices arrive from the next hourly run.

Glossary

Something unclear or out of date? Ask your admin. All guides

Enable
Unlocks a disabled account. Its characters can log in again and syncing resumes on the next timer.
Delete
Only on a disabled account. Deletes the account and everything in it: characters, tokens, jobs, stock, plans and history. Its characters can then sign up again or be linked to another account. Confirm with Delete everything.
Make admin
Gives the account the admin role: it can then list, disable and delete every account, issue invites, and change shared markets and instance settings. It still cannot see other accounts' data.
Remove admin
Takes the role away. The account keeps its data and characters but loses the Admin page and instance settings on its next page load.

Every action asks for confirmation first, shows a message when it is done, and is recorded in the audit log.

  1. 1
    Disable first
Press Disable, add a reason, and confirm with Disable.
  2. 2
    Then delete
The row now shows Enable and Delete. Press Delete and confirm with Delete everything.
Deleting cannot be undone
Disabling is the safe, reversible step. Delete only when the account's owner asked for it or will never come back: nothing of it can be restored.
There is always at least one admin
The last active admin cannot be disabled, deleted or lose the role. You get a message such as Account 4 is the only active admin: make another account admin before you disable it. If another admin removed your role while you had the page open, your next action is refused with You are no longer an active admin.
Invite
The note (or No note) and the invite number.
Status
Active: can still be used. Used: an account signed up with it. Revoked: cancelled by an admin. Expired: its time ran out.
Created
When, and by which admin.
Expires
When it stops working, or never.
Used by
The main character of the account that signed up with it, and when. Shows deleted account if that account is gone.
Actions
Revoke, on active invites only.

Revoke an invite

Press Revoke on an active invite and confirm. The link stops working at once, even for someone who is halfway through signing up with it. A used invite cannot be revoked; disable the account instead.

Press Save
Save is greyed out until you change something. A message says Ticket #12 updated, and the sender sees the new status and reply straight away.

To change a reply, edit the text and save: it replaces the old one. To remove it, empty the box and save. Users are not notified of replies; they see them when they open My tickets. When a ticket is about a refusal, use Won't do and say why in the reply.

That is a player structure id or another kind of location. Structures cannot be shared.
Station … not found in ESI
No NPC station has that id. Check the number.
A message about a key that already exists
That station is already shared.

The shared market list

The panel title says how many are active. The columns:

Name, Kind, Shared
The market's name, NPC station and Shared.
System, Location id
Where it is and its station id.
Auth character
Not needed: NPC station orders are public.
Last fetch
How the last hourly price collection went and when: Success, Partial (some pages failed), Failed or Running; never if it has not run yet.
Active
The switch turns collection on or off. A deactivated market is no longer collected or offered; accounts valuing there fall back to their fallback market.
Runs
Opens the last 48 hourly fetches: hour, status, pages, orders seen, when EVE last updated the data, and any error.

Adding, switching off and switching on a market are recorded in the audit log. A shared market cannot be deleted; switch it off instead.

ESI budget
Settings→Markets and prices
Shared market
A market was shared: its name, station id and region.
Changed shared market
A market was switched on or off (isActive) or renamed.
Answered ticket
A ticket's status or reply changed: its number, the new status, and replied or reply cleared. The reply text itself is not logged.

Another admin made your account an admin, or, on a brand-new installation, your character was named as the first admin by the person who set up the server.
